Derby Name: Magnum Magnolia Slams

What does your derby name mean to you? My derby name was put together by myself and two skaters I admire the most. Magnolia is my state flower, Magnum is a symbol for strength and Slams because I pass a pretty good hit out on the track. The two skaters no longer skate with me so I feel like I carry them out on the track with me.
Favorite Position: I have to be honest. While I really love to jam, my favorite position is just being part of the 5 out on the track.
How did you find out about Roller Derby? My friend was interested in playing and felt like I, needed a devine intervention. So she force fed me to recruitment night and things took off from there.

Favorite moment during a bout: I was jamming in my first bout and I pushed past Kat Von. I felt like I had just climbed Mt. Everest.
Favorite moment during an after party: Talking to Dizzy after her last bout.
Favorite after party drink: Anything fruity 🙂
Favorite bout you played in: My very first one. August 10, 2013. Home Vs. Home.
What are your favorite skates? While my 796’s are amazing, I would love a pair of 911’s. Riedell of course.
What are your favorite wheels? I love the Mayhems.
Do you have a derby wife? I am currently derby single.
What should an opponent know about you before a bout? Hmmm, I’m still trying to find out 🙂
What should your fans know about you? I simply love this sport and I appreciate each and every fan <3
